Nick's Blog #006: Autumn in the Evening Free Download

Hey everyone! Last week we said that we were planning to sell digital copies of Autumn in the Evening on a "name your own price" basis. This turned out to be a pretty tough thing to do! I was trying to set something up using a PayPal but it was just going to be a really confusing process for the person wanting the album.

So we sort of ditched that idea... but what it looks like we may do now is release Autumn in the Evening for free download for a limited time. Sort of what we did with Fireworks a few years back but this time for a much shorter time period.

We will most likely release it this Friday so hit up all of your friends and family with a link! We'll post that link here when it is ready.

August 20, 2009 @ Chase Palm Park, Easton Solo Acoustic Show

August 20th, 2009 at Chase Palm Park, Santa Barbara CA
Easton Solo Acoustic Show with Rusty Lindsay and Mike Chen

What's up everyone! Last night I, Easton, played a solo acoustic set in Chase Palm Park in Santa Barbara, CA, as part of a "makeshift" concert in the park. Other musicians included Rusty Lindsay and Mike Chen, whom both came bearing some sweet acoustic equipment including a sick harmonica setup for Rusty Lindsay. The concert was very informal, but in a good way! Between the three musicians present, we pretty much started a rotation of original songs - one musician would finish and the next would start playing. Thank you to everyone who came out, listened, and knocked back a few drinks with us! Big thanks to Peter Warren who pretty much arranged this whole thing. I must say that after me and Nick's "hiatus" from music, it's really awesome to get back on to the scene. We're really looking forward to our upcoming show at Soho in Santa Barbara on Tuesday, September 1st, and we're really, really looking forward to seeing everyone there! Here's a list of some of the songs I played in the set last night:

Setlist for Easton's Solo Acoustic Show on Autugust 20th, 2009 @ Chase Palm Park
1. The Psychologist
2. Ashes Ashes
3. Coney Island (Good Old War Cover)
4. Dog Problems (The Format Cover)
5. The Regular G (Days Away Cover)
6. New Untitled Song
7. Ode #1 (Instrumental, Unreleased Song)
8. Regulators (Warren G Cover)

New Merch Added to Online Store!

We have released a new merch item in our online store, which can be found here: The Dreamer and the Sleeper Online Merch Shop

The new piece of D&S merch is a t-shirt featuring a foul-mouthed feline. The shirts rocks the phrase "TDANDTSMF" which of course translates to "The Dreamer and the Sleeper M#ther Fu&ker!" Don't ask.

Below is a shot of the shirt in action. It's printed on american apparel so it feels nice on your skin
